Garden Center Associate
General Duties:
Watering perennials, annuals, shrubs, trees, houseplants, etc.
Providing customer service to a variety of customer needs
Trimming, cleaning, pruning plants as needed
Use a POS system to complete transactions, refunds, and fill orders
Maintaining the cleanliness of the garden center store and outside area
Rearrange product for optimal appearance
Restock shelves with products, pots, etc.
Provide assistance to customers regarding products, plants, or services
Answering phone calls regarding questions, orders, deliveries, etc.
Maintain a friendly attitude while working
Skills:
Plant knowledge is appreciated but not necessary
Using a POS system, cash register, basic computer skills, and answering the phone
Being able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Requirements:
Must be available seasonally from mid to late March through December
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
Must be able to transport self to work
Landscaper
General Duties:
Upgrading/maintaining existing outdoor landscapes
Installing/constructing new landscapes
Mowing, edging and trimming lawns
Weeding and mulching landscape beds
Trimming trees, hedges and shrubs
Removing unwanted, dead and damaged trees and shrubs
Planting shrubs, flowers and trees
Monitoring and maintaining plant health
Deliveries of products/bulk materials
Fall leaf cleanup
Winter maintenance including snowplowing, shoveling and salting
Skills:
Landscaping experience is preferred.
Equipment operation experience with leaf blowers, trimmers, mowers and other landscaping equipment is preferred (training available)
Equipment operation experience with skid steer or forklift is a bonus (training available)
Requirements:
Must be available seasonally from mid to late March through December
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
Physical stamina; must be able to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted
Valid drivers license
Good attitude and friendly service
